Julia Whiting from St Margaret’s School has won the Saatchi Gallery/Sunday Telegraph Schools Art Prize, which is the most prestigious student (under 18) art award in the UK.

Rotary Young Chef
Zoe Sing  wowed the judges at the Devon Rotary  Young chef competition on the 16th January. Using local scallops and sea bass from Beer, Zoe now moves through to the South West counties final in February and the Springboard Young chef semi-final as well.

‘Saturday 15th October marked another triumphant step forward for the Science Department at St Margaret’s. The team put on another day for Year 5 and 6 girls and boys who travelled from all over to quench their thirst for some Saturday Science.

‘The Witches’ has been a wonderful play to embark on. What I enjoyed the most was getting to know different girls from different years in the school. Drama really allows everyone to come together and work as a whole, enabling new friendships to be made.

This summer I had an amazing experience that has had a huge impact on me as a person. I worked for 3 weeks with the ‘Youth Music Theatre’ on a musical based upon the real events in Warsaw during WWII.

News Summer Term 2010
We had a fantastic day, luckily the weather was on our side, and we had a few pink faces on Thursday to prove it. The overall winners were Curie with an impressive 451 points with Bronte trailing in second place with 400. As always at St Margarets, House events are met with much enthusiasm and excitement.
