Preparing for Life Beyond the Sixth Form:
The Sky's the limit!

We offer each student individual support and guidance to get where they want to be in life. Our Issues and Perspectives are key inputs into this, together with advice from subject specialists.

The Issues programme


The Issues programme is led by the Sixth Form tutor team. Through tutorials and talks, it aims to extend students' knowledge of themselves and of the major political and social issues in the world today.

Personal statements are discussed in readiness for UCAS and mock interviews.

Practical preparation for life beyond school is central to the Issues programme; topics such as health and finance are covered, popular sessions include "Life, the Universe and Everything".

The Perspectives programme

The Perspectives programme is a combination of talks by outside speakers, practical careers lessons and sessions exploring current affairs and critical thinking. 

We aim to broaden student's knowledge of life beyond the Sixth Form and, in particular, to encourage independent and critical thinking skills.  Armed with these, students will be better able to make informed choices about their future.
