St Margaret’s School prides itself in offering students opportunities to undertake real challenges. Gifted and talented pupils are motivated to achieve their full potential by giving them the strategies that they need to succeed.
Chloe Payne and Emma Rutledge competed in the Inter Regional trials at Totnes Rowing Club representing Exeter Rowing Club. They both raced a quad and singles. Chloe came first in her sculling race which means she has qualified for the National Rowing Regattaat Nottingham
Once again, our performers epitomised the spirit of St Margaret’s and the adjudicator was very complimentary about them all. ‘The Charlottes’ will be joining Estelle Caine in the final on March 3rd. Well done to all our musicians!
Thank you to all of you who voted for me this year in the Devon Youth Parliament election held in school a few weeks ago. I was very fortunate to be elected to the position of Deputy Member for the Exeter area.
Three A level Art and Design students studying at St Margaret’s School in Exeter have been successful in gaining places at top London Art Colleges. Each of the students will start their course in a college chosen to help them more on their specialist degree course.
I really enjoyed working on casualty. It was a great experience.
The cast and crew were really nice, the director Paul was great. I had someone from wardrobe dress me and then went and had my make-up done with the rest of the main cast.
The atmosphere was electric, as any sweep or parent will tell you, at the start of this fantastic event. Over two thousand four hundred teenagers from four hundred schools met from all over the southwest and had one thing in common – their desire to conquer the 35, 45 and 55 mile categories that have been running for over forty years.
Over the past two weeks, 60 students have been involved in various expeditions. The Bronze groups enjoyed their first expedition around the reservoirs at Christow. Five Gold and Silver teams set off from the Fernworthy area last Saturday on a blustery spring morning.
Full of high spirits, 27 pupils and 3 staff left St Margaret’s on their 21 hour journey to the mountains in Switzerland for the long-awaited 2009 Ski Trip.
Our Year 7 was the top class in the UK and 5th in the world at mathematics by the end of the first week of term! The school IT suites have been inundated, during the last few days, by enthusiastic members of the form after the introduction of Mathletics in the first week of the Spring term.
