Our Teachers

Sarah Agg-Manning
Head of Prep School and Year 3 & 4 Teacher
I trained as a teacher under the auspices of Exeter University and qualified in 1973, my main subjects being Drama and Art.  I have taught all age groups from Year 3 to Year 6 in a wide variety of schools in Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath and Devon.  These include various state primaries and two private preparatory schools, in addition to my career at St Margaret’s, where I myself was educated.

My great loves are Drama and History and I have, in my time, worked as a guide around the Roman Baths in Bath and as a film extra.  I have directed many productions both in and outside school and acted in a variety of plays.

Mrs Angela Evemy
Year 3 & 4 Teacher

I have recently started teaching at St Margaret's. I immediately fell in love with the warm and caring atmosphere in the school. The friendly pupils and teachers have made me feel very welcome. Whenever I have been unsure about where to go, at what time and how to get there, someone has always offered their help with a smile.

I am based in the Junior House, where I teach English to Year 4 and Maths to Year 3. I also work in the Nursery with Miss Holland. I love teaching English because words fascinate me. They are captivating, intriguing, inspiring…..and there are so many to chose from! Maths was always my worst subject at school and so I know how some pupils feel when they can't work out a problem. I think this has made me a better maths teacher than if I had been a confident number-cruncher!

I have been teaching across the primary age range in schools for 20 years, working in Reading and Winchester. I have spent the last 18 months teaching adults in a prison. It was an interesting and fascinating challenge, but I am glad to be back working with children, where I know I belong!

Mrs Suzie Allen

Is the Head of our newly opened Pre-Prep and Nursery Department and teaches the Years 1 and 2 class. She has over 12 years experience at working with Nursery and Infant age children. She had been teaching Year 4 at St Margaret’s for the last 3 years. She is also responsible for the Junior House library.

Mrs Rebecca Sharpe

Is our Head of Nursery. After being educated in Devon and at the John Cleveland College in Leicestershire, she graduated with a B.A. in Geography from Exeter. She has just finished a most distinguished year of teacher training at the University, winning the Ted Wragg prize for the Outstanding Trainee. This is a most impressive feat which few teachers achieve!
