Our Teachers

Sarah Agg-Manning
Head of Prep School and Year 3 & 4 Teacher
I trained as a teacher under the auspices of Exeter University and qualified in 1973, my main subjects being Drama and Art.  I have taught all age groups from Year 3 to Year 6 in a wide variety of schools in Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath and Devon.  These include various state primaries and two private preparatory schools, in addition to my career at St Margaret’s, where I myself was educated.

My great loves are Drama and History and I have, in my time, worked as a guide around the Roman Baths in Bath and as a film extra.  I have directed many productions both in and outside school and acted in a variety of plays.

Miss Roberts also assists in the running of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme for the older pupils in the Senior School.

She is responsible for co coordinating the Comenius Project and enjoys being fully involved with the wider life of the school.

Mrs Angela Evemy
Year 3 & 4 Teacher

I have taught across the primary age range for over 20 years, working in Reading, Winchester and now Exeter. I have also taught in a prison, which was an interesting and fascinating challenge.

I am currently based in the Prep department, where I teach English to Year 4 and Maths to Year 3, as well as History and English to both year groups. I also teach in the Pre Prep with Mrs Allen.

I love teaching English because words fascinate me. They are captivating, intriguing, inspiring….there are so many to choose from! Maths was always my worst subject at school and so I know how some pupils feel when they can’t work out a problem. I think this has made me a better maths teacher, than if I had been a confident number cruncher!
