Maths
We aim for our pupils to:
- have self confidence in their ability to deal with maths
- be able to work systematically, co-operatively and with perseverance
- build on their knowledge of number facts and understanding of the four number operations
- understand and appreciate pattern and relationships in maths
- be able to explore problems using a range of mental calculations and strategies
- discuss their methods and findings, using appropriate mathematical vocabulary
- explore features of shape and space, and to develop measuring skills in a range of contexts
