Parent Staff Association

Who are we?
In a nutshell – you! The PSA is here to represent all the parents of children at St Margaret’s and enjoys an extremely close and good relationship with the school. We are a very friendly and relaxed association and we certainly don’t come badgering parents for financial donations – all we ask for is your time, ideas and support at fundraising events.

What do we do – and why?
We host all sorts of fundraising events to assist in providing additional items for the school  in order to enhance our children’s enjoyment of St Margaret’s. Recent projects have included the purchase of a grand piano and the landscaping of the new nursery garden.

How can you help?
We very much welcome all offers of help at our various events – either through providing cakes and biscuits for Open Days or manning the refreshment tent – and also any ideas you may have for different sorts of events. We have begun to host more informal gatherings, such as coffee mornings in the PAC and new parents’ welcome evenings, as well as events such as our now traditional and extremely popular Easter egg bingo.

How can you contact us?
Some members of the committee can often be found at the school gates – please feel free to come and say hello. Alternatively, we hold a meeting in the school library once a term and dates will be posted in advance on the website and also in the newsletter. Please come along – it is a friendly and interesting evening and the school very kindly lay on some rather nice refreshments... You can also get in touch by e-mail on psa@stmargarets-school.co.uk
