Mathematics
The aims of the Mathematics Department are
- To make the study of Mathematics challenging, relevant, enjoyable and stimulating.
- To give an appreciation of the beauty and elegance of Mathematics and an understanding of the world through the study of pattern and structure.
- To give all pupils, whatever their ability, a confident grasp of everyday numeracy.
- To equip pupils with the skills needed to use Mathematics in any chosen application such as Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Business.
- To develop logical thought and a positive attitude towards problem solving.
