Last Sunday and Monday, 36 Year 9 pupils participated in their Bronze D of E Practice Expedition in the East Devon countryside. This was their last chance to hone their navigational and map reading skills before their assessed expedition in September.
Sports Day – with a picnic lunch in the middle, so that the Senior School could applaud the Prep’s achievements and, likewise, the Prep could see some of the Senior Events – was also a great success and hugely enjoyable, assisted by the ideal weather conditions.
We then made our way to the Science Museum which was awesome. In the museum, Erin put a glove on her hand and the woman who was doing the show set some fabric on fire. Next, we went to Pizza Hut and had some amazing pizza. Tara ate lots of pizza! Then we walked to the Lyceum Theatre which was showing The Lion King. It was brilliant!
On a lovely balmy afternoon, the Prep School’s summer took place last Thursday in the school hall. Performances displayed the usual diversity and breadth of music going on in the department and ranged from the Prep School Orchestra and Choir, to two string ensembles and a wealth of duets and solos.
