National Regatta

Last weekend Imogen Mackie, Becca Stacey, Olivia Howes, Natasha Howes and Anna Whittingslow travelled up to Nottingham to compete in the national rowing regatta. They travelled up on Friday and stayed in a Hotel overnight and got up very early the next morning. It was their first proper competing regatta with a racing start and they were all really nervous.

The heat went really well and they finished in 4th place. They then proceeded into the finals and completed the 1500m course in 6.49 earning them 9th place in the country. They all had great fun and really enjoyed the experience.

Chloe Payne and Emma Rutledge competed in the Inter Regional trials at Totnes Rowing Club representing Exeter Rowing Club. They both raced a quad and singles. Chloe came first in her sculling race which means she has qualified for the National Rowing Regattaat Nottingham. They also won their quad!

Following this success they competed In the National Regatta at Nottingham, Chloe Payne came 10th In the U16 Singles and Chloe Payne and Emma Rutledge came 9th in their quad.
