London Trip
On Thursday 4th June Year 6 arrived at the train station ready to go to London. The hotel we stayed at was called The Royal National (in Russell Square). After dropping our bags off at the hotel we took a tube to the Science Museum where we watched a show about explosions. After the show we went to the launch pad and everyone found a Science game they loved. Then we had a meal at Pizza Express before scooting off to see ‘Oliver’. ‘Oliver’ was amazing and we were lucky because Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a Mr Bean) played the part of Fagin.
On Friday we had our breakfast and headed off to Shakespeare’s Globe where we did a drama workshop on Macbeth (this included lots of dramatic deaths!). We walked off to the Tate Modern where we became part of art. There were slides, shelves, abseiling and much more. After that we raced off to the Imperial War Museum where we learned about both wars. We did a Blitz experience where you could experience a bomb attack and it was scary. We also went through the World War 1 trenches (the record for going through the most times was 11!). The new Planet Hollywood was awesome, we were the first ever guests to eat there. It actually officially opened the day after on Saturday the 6th of June!
On Saturday we all didn’t want to go home, but when we did, we were happy to see our parents again.
