French exchange 2009

Sunshine, crêpes, seasickness, menthe à l’eau and hilarious dancing: the French Exchange in five(ish) words.

Among our most memorable moments was our encounter with Dominique the penguin, who thought he was a human; Amy getting stuck to a chair at the chocolaterie; watching the seals at Océanopolis; being given free posters by the charming tour guide Julien; Mrs Prowse’s dancing; finding seventeen reasons to convince management that the French Exchange is a positive and useful experience for the year 12s (this wasn’t difficult); card games on the ferry; and of course, learning lots and lots of French!

The French Exchange was a fantastic experience for all, and we made many good friends, both English and French! We would recommend this amazing trip to anyone and everyone. We would like to thank all the teachers for making it such a special trip. Thanks!
