Eden Project
Years 3 and 4 have been learning about weather and climate in Geography. To help them get a better understanding of this, we travelled to Cornwall to the Eden Project. We had a fantastic day, finding out about plants and what they can be used for – as well as finding out how hot and sticky a tropical climate really is! Here are some thoughts from Year 4.
You should have been with us on Wednesday, because we went to the Eden Project. It was amazing! The tropical biome was boiling and after lunch we went to the Mediterranean biome, which was cooler. My favourite part of the day was the shop!

We went to the tropical biome – it was really hot. We saw some fruit growing and a real lizard climbing up the plants. The Mediterranean biome was cooler and there were lots of pretty flowers. I would like to go again.

Wednesday was so exciting because we went to the Eden project. I didn’t have a favourite biome – I thought they were both amazing. I liked the sensitive plant in the tropical biome. When you touched its leaves, it shrivelled up. We got to smell perfume in the Mediterranean biome.

The Eden project was great fun. I loved looking at and feeling all the different plants.

The Eden Project is very green and eco-friendly – you should go there!

In the Tropical biome we saw a lizard, waterfall, a sensitive plant, fruit, a spice boat…..and lots more! In the Mediterranean biome we saw aloe vera, lemons, peaches and cactus plants. At the end we went to the shop and I bought a cuddly toy.
