Arthouse Creativity Day “A Bigger Splash”
Saturday, 30th January
Students from local schools certainly created 'A Bigger Splash’ in our Arthouse this afternoon – a stunningly beautiful one, too.
Mr Adrian Scragg and Ms Jessica Shellard, inspired the day. Each student created two fish: one, a sculptural Withy Fish from Willow, the other painted on a wavy board, with acrylic paints, using a mosaic overlay technique. Vital help was given on the day by 'Peer Leaders' from Years 10,11and 13. Mrs Joanna McClune provided welcome food and entertainment.
All the mosaic fish were fitted together at the end of the day, highlighting the different character of every single one in this shoal! Parents were able to view the kaleidoscopic shoal (or was it a school?) in the final finished jigsaw.
