Our Games We have lots of sporty things to do at school. There are Gymnastics on Thursday and Games on Friday. Doing some gymnastics is great. We do all kinds of things like going on the ropes and the horse. (Amelia) On Wednesday lunch break we have Netball Club and in the Summer we have Rounders Club instead. Coming up soon we have House Netball. House Netball is when all the Houses have a Netball Tournament and we see who wins. About once every week we have a netball match against Exeter School, Maynard, Bramdean and many other schools. Once every year we have Junior House Sports Day and sometimes it’s at the Exeter Arena. Also coming up soon is the Swimming Gala at St Luke’s swimming pool. I am really looking forward to all these sporting activities. I love doing gymnastics and the best bit about gym is when I do a backward flip on the ropes. (Christina) I think our most popular sport is netball. We have a number of netball matches in a term, and we have House Netball and Hockey every year at the end of term. (Erin) The Match at Bramdean On Thursday (two weeks ago) we went to a Netball match, we were all very nervous. When we first walked inside we ran and practised and practised. Then suddenly the whistle blew for the first quarter and we got a goal in. A few minutes after we were winning. It was going really well. However, Bramdean brought on a girl who was amazing, but we were still winning 12-11, it was a very close score. Then, finally the whistle blew for the very last quarter and we were all very competitive! Afterwards the whistle blew, it was the end. Furthermore everyone was silent and then Miss Roberts shouted, we won! (Georgina) |
