Wildside Education Trust

Owls’ were the theme of the Wildside Educational Trust’s day.

The pupils in Junior House had the opportunity to develop their scientific knowledge by dissecting owl pellets and discovering the number of voles and shrews that had been consumed.

They even attempted to re-assemble many of the skeletons – no mean feat with such tiny bones!  This was a most interesting day, which led to a number of cross-curricular activities, including art (collage owls) and literacy (story writing, poetry and storytelling).

The Wildside Educational Trust is involved with woodland and bird life.
