Bygones Victorian Museum

Our day at Bygones was fantastic! We went down a Victorian street and saw all the old shops in the apothecary . . .

All the different colours and smells that were in there - I would be scared to try any of them! The dentist was by far the scariest (and I thought my dentist was bad!) The woman in there was screaming like mad (very high pitched).  (Ellie)

After lunch we dressed up in Second World War outfits. We were shown a bomb shelter and a trench. Overall we had a great day out.  (Sophie)

Year 6 went to ‘Bygones’ in Torquay as an introduction to their History project on World  Wars 1  and 2 and as a conclusion to their topic on the Victorians.  They had an opportunity to dress in clothes of the period and to take part in a variety of activity.
