The Butler Sisters
Mary Jane Butler (alumna year 1966) and her sister Victoria Conrad (nee Butler alumna year 1971) visit the school for Open day October 2008.
Mary Jane has recently returned to Devon after many years spent living and working in rural Africa of which the last 8 years were in Western Kenya as Medical Co-ordinator for the Diocese of Bungoma officially as a Lay Missionary. The population of 2.2 million were mainly subsistence farmers with 80% living below the poverty line and with HIV in some areas at 40%. She is now very involved with the charity W.O.R.K – ‘Widows and Orphans in Rural Kenya’. Bungoma.

Victoria (Alumna year 1971) lives in Corsham, Wiltshire, also a registered nurse, has three grown up children 24, 22, and 19 and is a year rep contact for leavers of 1971
Third sister Noelle Pursey, also attended St Margaret’s (alumna year 1962)was a nurse and farmers wife who emigrated and lived in Australia for over 30 years sadly died in December 2006
