Entrance Information

Pre-Prep from age 3-7 years

Entry follows a simple procedure, which involves pupils visiting the school and spending a morning with us.  During this time pupils will be informally assessed within the class environment.

Confidential reports are requested from the school a pupil attends at present.

The main intake is at three years of age for the Nursery, at four for Reception, and at five and six for Forms 1 and 2.  At times there are places available in other forms.

Junior House Entrance Assessments

We like pupils to visit the school and spend a morning or day with the appropriate form.  During this time they will be informally assessed in the class environment, without being under too much pressure.  We also hold short written assessments at a later stage.  We can also arrange mid-term testing if families are moving into the area or considering a move from another school.

Sixth Form entry from age 16 years

Selection for these places is based on performance at GCSE examinations together with confidential assessments from the present school and personal interview.  We are pleased to receive definite applications at any time of the year although generally a provisional offer of a place is made in the Spring to be confirmed after publication of results in the Summer.
